Joseph Michael Schnabel, known affectionately as "Joe" to his loved ones, passed away peacefully at his residence on March 17, 2026. Born on June 5, 1980, in Evansville, Indiana, Joe’s life was one marked by devotion, skill, and an unwavering commitment to those he cared about.
Joe built more than just homes; he built lasting relationships through his kindness, generosity, and readiness to lend a hand. A gifted carpenter specializing in new home constructions, he earned the admiration of his peers with his exceptional talent. He was known far and wide for his ability to construct a house from the ground up, a true craftsman who took pride in his work and left a tangible legacy in every foundation he laid. Beyond his professional achievements, Joe’s heart was his most defining feature. He was a loving father, always present for his family, a steadfast friend, and a compassionate soul who extended help not only to friends but also to strangers in need.
Joe’s personal interests added richness to his life. A lover of books, music, and video games, he embraced these passions with enthusiasm, finding joy and relaxation in the simple pleasures of these hobbies. These interests were a reflection of the depth and diversity that characterized his spirit.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Natasha Schnabel; his son, Aidan Schnabel of Lake Wales; his parents, Roger L. Schnabel and Kim L. Walden; and his brother, Stephan A. Schnabel and wife Kristy, of Bluemont, Virginia. Their lives were profoundly enriched by Joe’s presence, and they carry forward his memory with love and honor.
Joseph Michael Schnabel’s legacy is one of steadfast dedication—to his craft, his family, and every person whose life he touched. Though he is no longer with us, the homes he built stand as monuments to his skill, just as the love he shared lives on forever in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be remembered not only as "Mr. Fixit," the master carpenter, but as Joe—the loving father, kind friend, and compassionate man whose impact was as strong and enduring as the structures he created.
