Joseph Patrick McMahon, 90

Joseph Patrick McMahon of Lake Wales passed away Monday, December 18, 2023 at The Grove Center.

He was born May 7, 1933 in Yonkers, New York to the late Joseph and Margaret McMahon; he moved to Lake Wales from Brooklyn, New York in April of 2023. Joseph was a mail sorter for the United States Postal Service and served with the United States Marines in the Korean War. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and was a faithful and loyal man.

Joseph is survived by his wife of 31 years, Eleanor McMahon; daughter, Valerie Alessandro of Brooklyn, New York; sons, Steven Alessandra and wife Roberta of Belle Harbor, New York, and James Alessandro and wife Caroline of Greensboro, New York; sister, Peggy Beaver of Palm Gardens; and six grandchildren.

A funeral mass is being scheduled at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
