Joseph E. Adams of Lake Wales passed away Saturday, January 21, 2012 at his residence.
He was born June 25, 1947 in Staten Island, NY to the late Henry & Ethelyn Adams; and he came here 1 year ago from Port Charlotte. He was a retired special education teacher in Staten Island, NY and was an active member of the First Assembly of God Church in Lake Wales.
Survivors include his wife, Claire A. Adams; daughters, Rebecca Wells of Charlottesville, VA, Heather, Claire Rizza of Andover, NY, Denise Coddington (Carl) of Tobyhanna, PA and Lisa Buffa (Vinnie) of Middletown, NJ; sons, Nicholas Adams and Dennis Rizza (Jeanne) of West Milford, NJ; brother, Henry Adams of Port Charlotte; and many grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Nature's Edge Clubhouse in Lake Wales.
