Jose Vazquez

Jose Vazquez, 89 of Lake Wales passed away Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Grace Health Care.

He was born April 6, 1925 in Puerto Rico to Alberto and Sotera (Rivera) Vazquez and has been a resident of the area since 2004 moving from Vineland, New Jersey. Jose was the owner/operator of a food market. He was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church and was a veteran of Korea serving in the US Army.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Delma Vazquez

He is survived by his wife, Carmen Sanchez; sons, Nelf Vazquez of Lake Wales, Silfredo Vazquez of Sarasota County, New York, Saul Vazquez of Bartow, FL, Joseph Vazquez of Cherry Hill, New Jersey; sisters, Luisa Vazquez, Modesta Vazquez, Cruzita Vazquez, Josefina Vazquez all of Puerto Rico; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren

Visitation will be held 9:00 AM Monday, June 30, 2014 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Funeral Services at 10:00 AM with Father Michael Giglio officiating. Interment will be held 2:30 PM Monday, June 30, 2014 at the Florida National Cemetery.
