Jorge A. and Melanie Y. Lara both of Frostproof, Florida passed away Friday, October 28, 2016. Jorge was born March 2, 1998 in Edinburg, Texas, Melanie was born December 16, 2000 in Sebring, Florida. They are lifelong residents of the area and were both students at Frostproof Senior High School.

Jorge was a very active helper at school, He was the President of the FBLA, very active in Church running the sound every Saturday. Jorge was very kind, respectful and helpful to his parents. Melanie was a character and had a very big heart, she loved babies and always helped others, she was very active in Church and School. Melanie was a very sweet servant of God. She loved sports and wanted to be a Pediatrician. They were both members of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Frostproof.

Survivors include their parents Silvio and Maria G. Lara of Frostproof and sister Mia Elizabeth Lara of Frostproof, FL.

Visitation will be held 10:00 AM Friday, November 4, 2016 until service time at 11:00AM at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Frostproof with Pastor Pablo Soler officiating. Interment will be held at the Silver Hill Cemetery.
