John David Wimberley, 73
John David Wimberley of Frostproof passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at his residence.
He was born June 23, 1948 in Manchester, Tennessee, to the late J.D. and Betty Wimberley; he moved to Frostproof from Tennessee in 1972. John was a retired welder for Cook Manufacturing and was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Vietnam. He was an avid coin collector, and loved jigsaw puzzles, the outdoors, and his family.
John was preceded in death by his sister, Marty Fultz; and brothers, Michael Brown, and Jim Wimberley. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Betty Wimberley; daughters, Renee Bifulco of New Port Richey, Misty Wimberley of Frostproof, and Holly Yager and husband Donny of Spring Hill; son, Greg Skinner and wife Bonnie of Lake Wales; sisters, Linda Wiggins and husband Randy of Wauchula, and Mary Edwards of Tennessee; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
