John W. "Jack" Vipond

John W. “Jack” Vipond, 77 of Lake Wales, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018 at his residence.

He was born on July 12, 1940 in Aledo, Illinois to the late Malon L. and Edna Marie (Esp) Vipond and he has been a resident of this area for 23 years moving here from Moline, Illinois. He was a retired Forklift Driver for International Harvester which later became J.I. Case Incorp. John enjoyed golf, fishing, cowboy movies, spending time with his family and he was a veteran serving in the US Navy.

He was preceded in death by his, first wife, Jackie Ann Thompson Vipond, sisters, Mary Lafferty, Shirley Whitehall and brother, Malon L. “Bubby” Vipond.

Survivors include his wife, Kaye Evelyn Vipond, daughters, Terry Lira husband Eduardo of Rock Island, IL, Tracy Sackville husband Monte of Aledo, IL, Julie Stark husband Jeffrey of Lake Wales; son, Jeffery Weime wife Jane of Eldridge, Iowa; sister, Bonnie Fisher of Joy, IL; brothers, Jim Vipond of Aledo, Il, Bernie Vipond of Aledo, Il; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Celebration of life service will be held at the Oakwood Club House 3301 Old Wailes Rd, Lake Wales, FL 33898 on Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 11:30 am until 2:00 PM.

Celebration of life service will be held 4:00 pm Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the Depot in Aledo, Illinois.
