John Boice Tomlin Iv

John Boice Tomlin IV, 58, of Lake Wales, FL died suddenly on April 2, 2010.

Born September 12, 1951 in Philadelphia, PA to Jean P. Cairns and John B. Tomlin III. He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He graduated from Hammonton High School in Hammonton, NJ in 1970. He had been a resident of Lake Wales, FL for over 12 years. He was a self-employed dry wall contractor (JT Dry Wall). An avid pool player, he played on the Winter Haven 8-Ball League. He also loved fishing with his best friend Otis.

He is survived by his sons John Boice Tomlin V (Stephanie) of Alexandria, VA and Phillip Adrian Tomlin (Susan) of Whitesville, KY; grandchildren Alyssa Lounsberry, Kayla, Deanna, Alex, John VI, Christopher and Liam; his mother Jean P. Cairns of St. Petersburg, FL; uncle Donald Crumley of New Castle, DE; aunt Betty (Robert) Rich of Linthicum, Md., brothers and sisters David (Diane) of Waynesville, NC, Robert (Cheryl) of Sulphur Springs, AL, Kathy DiBernardo (Nick) of Deptford, NJ, Ronald of Sarasota, FL, Cynthia of Winter Haven, FL, Pamela of Williamstown, NJ, Mark (Ron) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Heather Johnson of Bradenton, FL, and a host of nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind cherished friends: Otis & Karen Jarrett, Jan Neal, Vern Hill, Sally & David Leggett, Al Poteat.

He is preceded in death by his father, John Boice Tomlin III and his step-father, David Dallas Cairns.

Viewing and Memorial Service will be held at Marion Nelson Funeral Home, 454 South Buck Moore Road in Lake Wales on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 with the viewing beginning at 3:00 p.m. and the service at 4:00 p.m.
