John L. Mitchell, 64 of Frostproof, Florida passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Florida Hospital Heartland in Sebring.
He was born January 10, 1953 in Salem, Ohio to the late Okey and Barbara
(Hamilton) Mitchell and he has been a resident of this area since 2009 moving here from Salem Ohio. He was a retired Supervisor/Inspector for Eljers Plumbing and spent many years as an Auxiliary Police Officer with the Salem Police Department. John was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, AMvets, Slovak Club, Salem Club, he loved camping, fishing and reading.
He was preceded in death by his son, Justin Hans Mitchell.
Survivors include his daughters, Natalie Moore (Tim) of North Benton, Ohio, Tarra Elliott (John) of East Palestine, Ohio; sons, Emile Lloyd (Tammy) of Beloit, Ohio, Jason Saum of Akron, Ohio; sister, Carol Weaver (Rick) of Spring Hill, FL; brothers, Edward Mitchell of Sebring, Ohio, Alan Mitchell (Brenda) of Leetonia, Ohio; 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a very special friend of 8 years Barbara Cogar of Frostproof, Florida.
Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Salem Slovak Club in Salem, Ohio.
