John McGee, 70
John McGee of Haines City passed away Monday, June 7, 2021 at his residence.
He was born March 5, 1951 in Rochester, New York to the late Donald and Wanda McGee; he moved to Haines City from Saint. Louis, Missouri seven years ago. John was a real estate agent and broker for five years, a pressman for 25 years, and a lifeguard, but being a school bus driver was his favorite job of all. He was a very proud to be a member of the optimist club, golf club, and many other organizations. John taught himself to play the guitar and because of his love for music, after his retirement, he took lessons so he could become more proficient. He loved being a poll worker during different elections.
John is survived by his wife of 47 years, Barbara McGee who he adored and was a loving caretaker for; son, Zachary McGee and wife Thyme of Salt Lake City, Utah; sisters, Carolyn Payne and husband Craig of Culpepper, Virginia, and Donna Keene and husband Rob of Martinsburg, West Virginia; brother, Michael McGee and wife Krista of Frederick, Maryland; grandchildren, Andrew Ray, and Joshua Ray; and numerous loving family members.
No services are scheduled at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation (mymsaa.org) in the name of Barbara McGee.
