John R. McCullough, Sr., 66

John R. McCullough, Sr. of Lake Wales passed away Monday, October 26, 2020 at Advent Health Heart of Florida in Davenport.

He was born September 18, 1954 in Frostproof to the late Horace and Louise McCullough. John was the owner and operator of John’s Appliance Repair Store for over 40 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during Vietnam, and was of the Baptist faith. John was dedicated to his family an running his business. He was a compassionate, loving person, and a FSU and Nascar fan.

John was preceded in death by daughter, Kristi Lynn Schwanke, and brothers, Charles McCullough, and Jackson McCullough. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sandy McCullough; son, John McCullough, Jr. and wife Jaime of Lake Wales; sisters, Joyce Greene of Ormond Beach, Faye Cook-Skinner of Avon Park, and Maye Skinner Kohl of Lake Wales; and grandchildren, Jessica Kae McCullough, Jennifer Renae McCullough, and Emelyn Grace Schwanke.

A visitation will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 2, 2020 until the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Pastor Jack Hilligoss officiating.
