John Richard Lundquist, 93

John Richard Lundquist of Lake Wales passed away Monday, March 22, 2021 at Advent Health Lake Wales.

He was born August 24, 1927 in Youngstown, Ohio to the late John and Grace Lundquist; he moved to Lake Wales from Eagle Lake 13 years ago. John was a retired State Highway Lieutenant for the State of Ohio and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. serving in World War II. He was very proud of his military service during which he served in China. He was very athletic and loved his coffee and cigars.

John was preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah Lundquist. He is survived by his daughter, Diane Mappes (Mark) of Nashville, Tennessee; son, David Lundquist (Wendy) of Lake Worth; significant other, Bobbie James; brother, Jimmy Lundquist (Laura) of Cleveland, Ohio; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
