John "Jack" Ard

JOHN “JACK” PAUL ARD, 88

John “Jack” P. Ard of Lake Wales, Florida passed away Monday, July 2, 2018 at the Forsythe Hospice House in Auburndale.

He was born March 5, 1930 in Nocatee, Florida to the late Paul Hamill and Jonnie Florence (Chester) Ard. He has been a resident of the area since 1962 coming from Bartow, Florida. He was the Store Manager for Winn Dixie. Jack was a veteran in the United States Navy and a member of the First Baptist Church in Lake Wales. He loved to fish, gardening, bird hunting, attending church, his cat, playing video games and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his sister Dorothy Clark and brother Gene Ard.

Survivors include his wife of 11 years Darline B. Ard, daughters Kelley Ard Moser (Kelly) of Lake Wales, FL, Debbie Miller (Dan), Lori McKenney (Greg), Angela Daughtry, sons Michael Ard of Frostproof, FL, Michael Bristow, sister Alice Wilson of CO, 15 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, July 9, 2018 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home Lake Wales. Interment will be held at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
