John Edward Grotzinger, 85, passed away on October 1, 2026, at Winter Haven Hospital. He was born on June 7, 1941, in Saint Marys, Pennsylvania.

John and Phyllis Wright married on August 4, 1962, and then he graduated from Penn State University, earning his degree in 1963. He went on to build a life centered on hard work and dedication. He ran a dairy farm and equipment business, Grotzinger Equipment, Inc., with his father and later became the sole owner alongside his wife, Phyllis. John loved his work, and that devotion was a lasting part of who he was. He also loved animals and was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. He and his wife Phyllis both loved to travel for the business and leisure.

Above all, John will be remembered as a devoted family man. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Phyllis Grotzinger. He also leaves behind his daughters, Cynthia Wolfel and her husband, Edward, of Rassaelas, Pennsylvania; Tonya Peach and her husband, Ronnie, of Toronto, Ohio; and Linda Grotzinger of Columbus, Ohio. His memory will also be cherished by his grandchildren, Stacie, Shawn, Michael, Philip, Cassandra, and Alyssa; as well as 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, George Grotzinger; his mother, Madeline Grotzinger; his infant daughter, Amy Grotzinger; and his grandchild, Scott Peach.
