John Allen Gordon, Sr. of Lake Wales passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at AdventHealth Lake Wales.

He was born May 30, 1949 in Charleston, West Virginia to the late Eugene and Virginia Gordon; he moved to Lake Wales from West Virginia in 1980. John was a retired self-employed carpenter. He loved fishing and working on lawn mowers.

John was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Gordon in 1981. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Denise Gordon; daughters, Lorraine Lagrow and husband Keith of Sebring, and Kathy Henderson of Lake Wales; son, John Allen Gordon, Jr. of Lake Wales; grandchildren, Courtney, Amy, Kenzie, Kember, and Peyton; and great-grandchildren, Alexis and Saydie.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 24, 2022, at Crystal Lake Park in Lake Wales. Contact the family for more information about the service.
