JOHN CASCONE, 94

John Cascone of Lake Wales passed away Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Lake Wales Medical Center.

He was born November 1, 1923 in New York City to the late Joseph and Josephine Cascone; he came here 40 years ago from south Florida. He was raised on a farm in Walden, NY and that gave him an appreciation for and love of nature and animals. He was a retired iron worker and truck driver; he was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Lake Wales Moose Lodge and enjoyed playing poker, horseracing and Las Vegas.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Cascone. Survivors include his daughter, Georgina Cascone of Key West; a sister, Eleanore Alessandro McMahon and her husband, Joseph of Brooklyn and Lake Wales; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services to be held at a later date at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
