John L. Amendola, 77, of Lake Wales passed away Thursday, January 24, 2008 at his residence.

Born June 15, 1930 in Lyndhurst, NJ; he came here 3 years ago from Hobe Sound, FL. He was a retired machinist for Solartrone in Hobe Sound, and was of the Catholic faith. He served in the U.S. Army, was a coin collector and enjoyed fishing.

Survivors include his brother, Ralph Amendola of Long Beach, CA; sisters, Elena Faro of Lake Wales; Florence Fanelli of North Arlington, NJ; Ann LaLena of Paterson, NJ; brother-in-law, Anthony Faro Jr. of Lake Wales; nieces and nephews, Dr. Anthony & Kellie Faro of Lake Wales; Debra Faro of Winter Haven; Denise DeCarlo of Islen, NJ; Joseph Fanelli of North Arlington, NJ; Nanette Fanelli of North Arlington, NJ; Arthur Branham of New Jersey; James Amendola of New Jersey; and Judge Michael Amendola of Alabama.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
