Joey L. Ivey, 65

Joey L. Ivey of Lake Wales passed away Saturday, September 3, 2022 at his residence.

He was born August 20, 1957 in Winter Haven. Joey was a diesel repair mechanic and a member of First Baptist Church of Waverly. He loved being outside and doing any outdoor activity and was especially proud of his trophy mounts. He was a people person and a devoted family man that loved his family dearly.

Joey was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Lynn Ivey in 2021; father, Broadwell Leo Ivey; and brother, Randy Leo Ivey. He is survived by his sons, Shane Ivey and wife Crystal of Bartow, Hunter Ivey and wife Jessica of Kalamazoo, Michigan; mother, Louetta Ivey of Lake Wales; sisters, Marsha Mayne of Lakeland, and Kimberly Strickland of Polk City; and grandchildren, Savannah, Brooklyn, Troy, Brayden, and Jaxon.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 10, 2022 at First Baptist Church of Waverly with Rev. David Durham officiating.
