Joel Alan Sherman

Joel Alan “Cornbread” Sherman, 57, of Frostproof passed away, Friday, February 6, 2015 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

He was born June 9, 1957 in Vincennes, Indiana to the late Charles V. and Barbara D. (Farrell) Sherman and has been a resident of this area since June 2005 moving here form Port St. Lucie, Florida. He worked as a Union Millwright. Joel was always available to help everyone, he lived life to the fullest, loved guns and Country Music, and he enjoyed riding his swamp buggy and raising pigs. He was of the Methodist Faith.

Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Martha I. Sherman; daughters, Lacy Jo Sherman of Indiana, Danielle Nicole Richards of Avon Park; son, Emerson Aybar of Port St. Lucie; sisters, Robin Wilson and Kim Sherman both of Indiana; brothers, Russ Sherman, Steve Sherman, Art Sherman and Bradley Sherman all of Indiana; 9 grandchildren; Uncle Chuck and Aunt Carol Farrell.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 pm Thursday, February 12, 2015 and the funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, February 12, 2015 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home of Frostproof with Rev. David Durham officiating.
