Joel Nathaniel Jenkins, 85

Joel Nathaniel Jenkins of Frostproof, Florida passed away on January 20, 2022.

Joel was a lifelong resident of Frostproof and was born on November 16, 1936, to the late Walter and Palice Jenkins. Joel retired as a worker for the Futral’s grocery store in Frostproof. Joel loved to fish and was a volunteer firefighter for 32 years and was a lifelong member of the Frostproof Church of God.

Joel is proceeded in death by his wife Kassie K. Jenkins. He is survived by his companion Joyce Barnes; sons, Joel Anthony Jenkins and wife Theresa of Winter Haven, Brian Keith Jenkins, and wife Stacy of Frostproof; sisters Janice Troutman and husband Preston of Lake Wales, and Eudene Williams of Arp, Texas; his 5 grandchildren, Zack, Josh, Nathan, Ryan, and Kaleigh; and 4 great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends on January 26, 2022, from 10:00 am until service time at 11:00 am at the Frostproof Church of God. Interment will be held at the Silver Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Frostproof Church of God.
