Joe Turner

Joe Turner of Haines City passed away Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Good Shepherd Hospice.

He was born July 25, 1943 in Dothan, AL to the late Winton and Monnet Turner; and was a lifelong resident of Polk County. He retired from Coco-Cola Foods as Hi-C superintendent. He was a member of the River of Life Church of God in Haines City and loved spending time and teasing his family.

Survivors include his wife Gayle of 55 years; sons, Scott and his wife, Stacey, Richard Dwayne and his wife, Christy; brother, Billy Turner and his wife, Diane; sister-in-law, June; seven grandchildren, Samantha, Lauren, Nick, Misty, Braden, Payton and Connor; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. and the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Pastor James Fenley officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery. For those who wish, donations may be sent to the Good Shepherd Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
