Joe Alan Kelley

Joe Alan Kelley, born on January 17, 1957, in Frostproof, Florida, passed away peacefully at his residence on July 29, 2026. Throughout his sixty-nine years of life, Joe was known for his steadfast kindness, generosity, and the hard-working spirit that guided him in all his endeavors.

From an early age, he demonstrated remarkable compassion and a sincere interest in those around him—he never met a stranger, and those who encountered him were instantly welcomed by his genuine smile and caring spirit. His friendly nature left a lasting mark on everyone he met, and his ability to connect with people was a testament to the openness of his heart.

In his professional life, Joe found fulfillment as a Grove Care Taker for Tommy Davis, dedicating many years to nurturing Florida’s citrus groves. Beyond his professional pursuits, Joe found solace in the quiet joys of fishing. The peaceful rhythm of casting a line and the beauty of Florida’s waters brought him happiness and a welcome respite from daily life.

Family formed the core of Joe’s world, and his legacy is cherished by many. He is survived by his son, Gary Hobbs and his wife Becky Hobbs; his sisters, Joyce Kelley, Robin Sizemore, Judy Youngblood and her husband Lloyd, and Lisa Kelley; his brothers, Bryan Kelley and his wife Tammy and Todd Kelley and his wife Diana.

Joe now joins loved ones who preceded him in death: his beloved wife Patsy Kelley, his parents Elvin and Norma Kelley, and his sister Kim. Their memory lives on through the stories and shared history that continue to unite the family.
