LAKE WALES--Joanna W. Underwood, 85, of Lake Wales died Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at The Meadows of Cypress Gardens.

Born March 12, 1922 in Navarino, WI; she came here from Wisconsin in 1945. She was a retired nurse from the Lake Wales Hospital, attended the Winter Haven Church of the Nazarene, and was a University of Wisconsin Alumni.

Survivors include her husband, John S. Underwood of Lake Wales; daughters, Sally J. Straub of Lake Wales; sisters, Phyllis Carey of New London, WI; Dolores Witt of Appleton, WI; 2 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until service time at 10:00 AM, Thursday, November 29, 2007 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home, Lake Wales with Pastor David Gagnon officiating. Interment will be held at the Florida National Cemetery.
