Joann Schaberg

JoAnn Schaberg of Lake Wales passed away Friday February 12, 2010 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

She was born February 13, 1932 in Grand Rapids, MI to Wilmot and Helen Benson Pruyne; and came to Lake Wales from Midland, Michigan in 1990. She was a teacher in the public school system, volunteer at the Lake Wales Care Center enjoyed golfing was an avid reader, and a member of the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Lake Wales.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her Father, Wilmot Pruyne. Survivors include her Husband, J. Ralph Schaberg of Lake Wales; Daughters, Julia Root and husband Greg of Plainwell, MI; Jennifer Poling and husband Mark of Portland, OR; Sons, Mark Schaberg and wife Julia of Paducah, KY; Chris Schaberg and wife Sally of Belmont, MI; Mother, Helen Pruyne of Midland, MI; Sister, Jean Karpicke of Sanford, MI; Brother, Wilmot Pruyne of Naperville, IL; 10 Grandchildren

Memorial service will be held 10:30 AM Friday, February 19, 2010 at the South Shore Resort Clubhouse with Fr. Thomas Seitz, Jr officiating.
