Joan Marlys Hine

Joan Marlys Hine passed away on September 10, 2026, at her residence. She was born on September 23, 1936, in Alhambra, California.

In 2024, she moved to Lake Wales from Alhambra, California, making her home there in her later years.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Perry A. North, II; her recent husband, Elliott Hine; her father, Donald Cowley; her mother, Vina Cowley; and her sister, Donna Hinman.

Joan is survived by her children, daughter Anita Dunlap of Lake Wales, daughter Deborah Wooles of Land O' Lakes, and son Perry North III of Durham, North Carolina. She will be remembered with love by her family and by those who knew her.

A private family gathering will be held.
