LAKE WALES--Joan W. “Joanie” Futrill, 52, of Lake Wales passed away Thursday, November 22, 2007 at Lake Wales Medical Center.

Born July 4, 1955 in Lake Wales; she was a lifelong resident of the area. She was retired from the human resourses department at Polk Community College and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed flower gardening and family time.

Joan was preceded by her parents, Webb Lelan and Juanita Wyrosdick. Survivors include her husband, Deryl W. Futrill of Lake Wales; sons, Travis & B.J. Futrill both of Lake Wales; brothers, Lelan & Roy Wyrosdick both of Lake Wales; sisters, Bonnie Slaughter of Lake Wales and Joyce Miller of Labelle; and one grandson, Dylan.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Monday, November 26, 2007 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at the funeral home in Lake Wales with Rev. Kerry Beatty officiating.
