Jo Ann Maulden Reeves

Jo Ann Maulden Reeves, known with love to many as Grand Jo or Jo Jo, passed away on September 5, 2026, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. She was born on September 24, 1946, in Coffee County, Alabama.

Jo Ann lived a life centered on family, service, and the people she loved most. She was a retired social director for Lake Wales Hospital, and she took care of the family business, Bill Reeves Livestock. Jo Ann gave her time in many ways to her community and to young people. She was a Brownie leader, a Boy Scout volunteer, and was involved in Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She also enjoyed music and liked Michael Bolton and Riley Green.

More than anything, Jo Ann was deeply devoted to her family. She was very active in the lives of her grandkids and great-grandkids, and her presence will be remembered in the many everyday moments she shared with them. The name Grand Jo or Jo Jo was one that carried warmth, closeness, and affection, and it reflected the special place she held in the hearts of those who knew her.

She is survived by her sons, Bruce Reeves and his wife Jeri, and Brent Reeves and his wife Melissa; her daughter, Kelli Reeves; sister, Jessie Lewis; brother, Daniel Fox Maulden and his wife Lorraine; grandchildren, Addy, Brandi, Mark, Drew, Caleb, Jared, Joshua, and Justin; as well as her 12 great grandchildren and number 13, Raelynn Grace Looney, who will be arriving in 2027. She leaves behind a family who will continue to cherish her memory and carry forward the love she gave so freely.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Reeves; her father, Dain Maulden; her mother, Murphy Downing; her grandson, Jansen Castle; her sisters, Pauline Hasting, Margaret Lewis, Frances Evans, Evelyn Milam, and Carol Gavin; and her brother, Wayne Maulden.

Jo Ann will be remembered for her steady care for her family, her involvement in the lives of others, and the joy she found in being Grand Jo or Jo Jo. Her life touched many, and her memory will remain a blessing to all who loved her.
