Jimmy Lee Mannis, 69

Jimmy Lee Mannis of Fort Meade passed away Monday, August 16, 2021 at his residence.

He was born February 17, 1952 in Chickamauga, Georgia, to the late Roy and Pauline Mannis; he has been a resident of the area since 1974. Jimmy was a retired milker for C & C Dairy and was a member of the Church of God.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Ann Mannis; daughter, Stephanie “Renee” Mannis; brother, Paul Mannis; and sisters, Helen Manis, and Patsy Springfield. He is survived by his daughter, Mary Thornsbury and husband Glenn of Bartow; son, Jimmy Lee Mannis, Jr. of Fort Meade; brothers, Luther Mannis and wife Sharon of Alexander, Virginia. And Roy Lee Mannis, Jr. of Columbia, Tennessee; grandchildren, Rebecca Vickers, Cody Farmer, and Brittany Combess; and four great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 20, 2021 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Silver Hill Cemetery in Frostproof with Pastor Oma Bratcher officiating.
