Jim Garrard

Jim Garrard of Frostproof passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at his residence.

He was born August 4, 1932, in Aurora, Alabama, to the late Luther and Euna (Sims) Garrard; he was a long-time resident of the area coming from Alabama. He was a Citrus Foreman for Ben Hill Griffin. He attended the Frostproof Church of God and loved fishing, camping and woodworking.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Keith Guy Garrard in 2019. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Marjorie; and daughter Shiela Cochran and her husband David of Frostproof, FL; sister Shirley Brantley of Frostproof, FL; brothers, Wallace Garrard and his wife Joyce of Attalla, AL and Troy Garrard and his wife Kathy of Lake Wales, FL; 6 grandchildren, Sheri Garrard, Kevin Cochran, Candace Turner, Kristen Marler, Ryan Garrard and Keith Garrard and 11 great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 p.m., Monday, March 16, 2020, at the Frostproof Church of God in Frostproof with Pastor Sammy Haag officiating. Interment will follow at the Silver Hill Cemetery.
