Jewell Lee Sampson

Jewell Lee Sampson of Lake Wales passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Heart of Florida in Haines City.

She was born November 23, 1939 in Georgia to the late Ira and Onnie Barbee; and she moved to the area 4 years ago from Kentucky. She was a homemaker and enjoyed collecting dolls and dogs.

Jewell was preceded in death by her first husband, Jackie Eugene Hall and her second husband, Junior Vincent Sampson. Survivors include her children, Jeanie Gordon, Jackie Spivey (Jack), Pam Donaway (Howard), Shirley Turner (Dale), Vickie Sampson, Becky Tidwell and Whillis Hall; siblings, Jeannett King (Walter), Wynell Seargeant (Pat), John Barbee and Troy Barbee; grandchildren, Ray Terrell (Tesa), Joe Osborne (Sara), Tammy Thomas (Mike), Jessica Wells (Brad), Jill Johnson, Aaron Murphy (Tabrina Carver), Jeff Murphy (Chan), Rebecca Murphy, Sarah Muphy, Philip Donaway (Amanda), Harrison Donaway (Lacy), Christy Turner, Jason Sampson, Willie Jr. Hall, Brandy Hall, Travis Hall and Matthew Tidwell; 26 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at the Frostproof Church of God.
