Jerry Kenneth Swinford, 69
Jerry K. Swinford of Lake Wales, Florida passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Lake Wales Medical Center.
He was born November 6, 1947 in Sunflower County, Mississippi to the late William K. and Beatrice J. (Hall) Swinford. He has been a resident of the area for 6 months coming from Cadiz, Kentucky. He was a retired Law Enforcement officer for cities of Cleveland, Mississippi and Shaw, Mississippi. Jerry was a veteran in the United States Marine Corp and served in the 1st Marine Division, 7th Marine Regiment Charlie Company and served two tours in Viet Nam. He owned and operated S&S air conditioning/Refrigeration and was a member of the VFW in South Haven, Mississippi.
He was a loving husband to his wife of 24 LeAnn K. Swinford, and loving father to daughter Mary Ann Collins and husband Paul of Pass Christian, MS, son Christopher Swinford, of Cleveland, MS, brother James Swinford of South Haven, MS, 4 grandchildren, Aunt Lida who helped raise him, many nieces and nephews and his dog Brady. He is also survived by his mother in law Sandra Crisman and Brother and sister in law Steve and Janet Crisman all of Memphis, TN; and numerous cousins and great nieces.

Memorial service will be held at a later date in Memphis, Tennessee.
