Jerry Stone

Jerry W. Stone of Lake Wales passed away Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Lake Wales Medical Center.

He was born September 7, 1965 in North Kingston, Rhode Island; and was a resident of the local area for 6 months but a Florida resident for the past seven years. He was a dispatcher for Oakley Transportation and of the Baptist faith. Jerry loved his family and grandbabies dearly, he had a big heart and was loved by everyone. He was a dedicated and hard worker.

He was preceded in death by his father, William M. Stone Sr. Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Shirley Stone; mother, Bobbie Patton of Gulfport, MS; daughter, Donne Lynn Stone Sepulveda (Alkely) Lake Wales; son, William Robinson (Mindy) of Santaquin, UT; sisters, Rita Stone Bentz (Fred) of Pass Christian, MS and Shelia Brewer (Ray) of Gulfport, MS; brother, William M. Stone Jr. (Margaret) Gulfport, MS; four grandchildren Maliyah, Carl, Kaden and Bella; and several nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

Visitation will be held from 12:00p.m. until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Rev. David Durham officiating. A graveside service will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Finley Cemetery in Gulfport, MS with Brother Bryan Atwood of Campground Baptist Church officiating.
