Jerry A. O’Brien, 85

Jerry A. O’Brien of Lake Wales passed away Monday, March 6, 2023 at AdventHealth Lake Wales.

He was born June 21, 1937 in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late Lawrence and Florence O’Brien; he moved to Lake Wales from Leavenworth, Kansas in 1986. Jerry was a retired warden for Leavenworth Penitentiary for 25 years. He was known to be a very fair and caring warden to the inmates. Since his retirement, he has enjoyed woodworking and furniture building. He was an avid golfer and fisherman.

Jerry was proceeded in death by his daughter, Erin O’Brien. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Pat O’Brien; son, Michael O’Brien and wife Michelle; and granddaughter, Cheyenne O’Brien.
