Jerry L. Cockerham 61, of Murphy, North Carolina (winter resident of Lake Wales, Florida) passed away Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Somers Hospice House in Sebring.
He was born December 31, 1951 in Anderson, Indiana and has been a winter resident of the area for 11 years moving here from Tampa, Florida where he resided for 59 years. He was a retired Professional Truck Driver, loved fishing, visiting the flea market, listening to music and spending time with his friends. He was of the Church of God Faith.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Treva Irene McCreary and sister, Janalee McBeth
Survivors include his wife of 11 years, Dorothy E. Cockerham; daughter, Tracy Devonne Tousley of Dallas, TX; son, Jamason Delitta of St. Pete, FL; father, Russell Lowell Cockerham of Deland, FL; sister, Gloria and husband Ronnie Efird of Deland, FL; very special nephew, Michael McBeth; 7 Grandchildren; special friends, Mrs. Opal, Kelvin, Dale and Bob.
