Jerry Kenneth “J Byrd” Byrd, 74

Jerry Kenneth “J Byrd” Byrd of Lake Wales passed away Monday, July 10, 2023.

He was born on April 4, 1949 in Lake Wales to the late Johnson and Alma Byrd; he was a lifelong resident of Lake Wales. J Byrd was a loving husband and father. He enjoyed life and always loved talking to people. He worked at McDonald Construction Company and retired from C.F. Industries.

J Byrd was preceded in death by his parents, Johnson and Alma Byrd; brother, Lonnie Byrd; and sister, Sue Tucker. He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Ann Byrd; daughters, Tamberly Taylor of Navarre, and Staci Mann and husband Bruce of Fort Walton Beach; sons, Randy Lambeth of Lake Wales and Billy Lambeth and wife Karin of Leakesville, Mississippi; ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Lake Wales Cemetery with Rev. Jay Cook officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at 643 Morrel Avenue, Lake Wales, Florida 33859.
