Jennifer S. Hiers of Lake Wales passed away Monday, June 21, 2022 at AdventHealth Lake Wales.

She was born July 10, 1974 in Lake Wales to Victor and Ann Story. Jennifer was a homemaker and had a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida in Special Education. She previously worked for the Little Highlander Academy and was a member of Highpoint church where she volunteered in the children’s ministry. Jennifer was an avid sports fan, especially of the University of Florida Gators, the Appalachia State University Mountaineers, and the Warner University Royals. Over everything else, Jennifer was a devoted mother.

Jennifer is survived by her husband of 27 years, Dean C. Hiers; daughter, Olivia Ann Hiers of Lake Wales; sons, Luke S. Hiers and wife Morgan of Lake Wales, and Lyle C. Hiers of Lake Wales; parents, Victor B. “Vic” Story, Jr. and Ann H. Story; sister, Michelle Geric and husband Scott of Winter Haven; brothers, Kyle Story and wife Marissa of Lake Wales, Matt Story and wife Shanda of Lake Wales, and Jeff Story of Fort Meade; and grandson, Bennett.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Highpoint Church with Rev. Jack Hilligoss officiating. Interment will follow at Lake Wales Memorial Gardens.
