Jeffrey Lee Metheney

Jeffrey L. “Jeff” Metheney, 60 of Lake Wales, Florida passed away Friday, July 1, 2016 at Tampa General Hospital.

He was born on April 17, 1956 in Columbus, Ohio to Wilbur Lee and Carolyn Sue (Heffer) Metheney and he has been a resident of this area since 1977 moving here from St. Petersburg. He was an Iron Worker for Local 397. Jeff enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a former member of the Central Avenue Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Kay Metheney and former wife Tina Messer Metheney.

Survivors include his wife, Lynn Metheney; daughter, Crystal Metheney of Lake Wales; parents, Wilbur L. “Buzzy” Metheney and Sue Metheney of Winter Haven; sister, Cheryl Brewer of Winter Haven; brother, Bill Metheney of Winer Haven; 2 grandchildren, Paige and Shelby.

Visitation will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, July 6, 2016 with funeral services at 2:00 PM at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Rev. Stephen Bolden officiating.
