JEANNE GRIMMER, 81

Lake Wales Country Club

Jeanne Grimmer of Lake Wales passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at the Winter Haven Hospital.

Born June 18, 1927 to the late Karl and Agnes Kessler; she came here in August of 1976 from Hammond, IN. She was a retired housekeeper in Lake Wales Country Club and a member of the Abiding Saviour Luther Church in Winter Haven. She was a member of the Independent Order of Forresters, was active in the Keenagers and enjoyed walking in the mall, ballroom dancing, Big Band music and playing the organ.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Grimmer in 2001, and a son, Edward J. Grimmer in 2007. Survivors include her daughters, Sharon M. Krzan of Lake Wales, Karen K. Linville (husband-Don) of Winter Haven and Lyn M. Dahlquist (husband-David) of Lake Wales; son, John “Larry” Grimmer of Lake Wales; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 4:00 PM and from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Friday, December 12, 2008 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 13, 2008 with visitation beginning at 11:00 AM at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Rev. Alan Ford officiating.
