LAKE WALES -- Mrs. Jeanne Furr of Lake Wales died of heart failure Thursday (March 16, 2006) at Lake Wales Medical Center. She was 82.

Born in Wilkes Barre, Pa., on Sept. 4, 1923, she came to Lake Wales from there in 1952. She was a homemaker and a member of the Polk County Homemaker's Association. She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Mrs. Furr is survived by her daughters, Mary Jeanne West, Astor, Sally Wildmon, Winter Haven; five grandchildren; and six greatgrandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. March 25 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Lake Wales. Burial will be at 9 a.m. March 27 in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.

Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice or Cornerstone Hospice.
