Jeanette Ward Hardeman

Jeanette Ward Hardeman of Bartow went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at her residence with her family by her side after a long battle with cancer.

She was born October 10, 1935 in Lake Wales to the late Horace & Louella Ward; she moved to Bartow from Lake Wales in 1953. She was retired from Citrus World as a foreman in the sectionizing department and of the Baptist faith.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her precious son, Doug Hardeman in 1989 and two brothers, Horace Ward, Jr. and James Ward. Survivors include her husband, Jerry Hardeman, Sr.; daughter, Debra Barnhart and Denise Knabe (husband, Bob) both of Bartow; sisters, Edith Chandler and Edna Buxton; brother, Ray Ward all of Lake Wales; 3 grandchildren, Kylie Berry, Louis Knabe and Josh Simmers; 7 great-grandchildren, N.J., Haley, Lily, Christopher, Mikayla, Abbigail and Trey all of Bartow.

The funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, August 13, 2010 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with viewing at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
