LAKE WALES--Jean H. Elliott of Lake Wales died of heart failure Sunday, December 10, 2006 at her residence. She was 72.

Born September 11, 1934 in Sebring; she was raised in Jacksonville and moved here in 1998. She was a retired secretary for the Professional Insurance Corporation in Jacksonville. She was an avid baseball fan and was devoted to watching her grandsons play. She loved living in Lake Wales and read the newspaper from cover to cover, enjoying especially the crossword puzzles.

Survivors include her husband, Robert L. “Bob” Elliott Sr. of Lake Wales; daughters, Diane & Edward Kibler of Jacksonville; Rebecca & Randy Keener of Lake Wales; Holly & Kevin Riley of Cedar Key; sons, Richard D. & Barbara Carter Jr. of Crescent City; Robert L. Elliott Jr. of IN; Larry Elliott and Steven Elliott both of Jacksonville; brother, Hiram E. “Ed” Hampton Jr. of DE; 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, December 16, 2006 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Mobley officiating. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to the Lake Wales Little League, Post Office Box 1571, Lake Wales, FL 33859.
