Jean Horton Elliott

Jean Horton Elliott, 92, of Lake Wales, Florida peacefully went to be with her Lord on Sunday, December 14, 2014, at her residence.

She was born August 19, 1922 In Portal, Georgia to the late James Henley Fordham and Carrie Guilyard (Knight) Fordham and has been a residence of Lake Wales since 1945. She was a retired Secretary for Citrus World and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lake Wales.

She is preceded in death by two husbands, Lee Roy Horton, Jr. and Robert Elliott.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Lee Kurschner and husband Jurgen of Lake Wales; grandson, Bo Boyte and wife Missy of Lake Wales; 2 great granddaughters, Kamryn and Taylor; sister-in-law, Betty Horton, brother-in-law Frank Jester and eight nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, December 18, 2014 at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Scott Markley officiating. Interment will be held at the Lake Wales Cemetery.

Family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 1:00 PM until service time.

In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Lake Wales Debt Retirement Fund or Cornerstone Hospice.
