J.C. Plair

J.C. Plair of Frostproof passed away Thursday, September 29, 2011 at The Groves Center in Lake Wales.

He was born October 14, 1941 in Adel, GA to the late Tobe O. & Bessie M. (Bostic) Plair; he came here from Adel, GA in 1949. He was a retired truck driver for Crumbley Brothers and a member of the Southside Baptist Church.

Survivors include his daughters, Irene Smith of Avon Park, Brenda Pitchford of Frostproof and Tammy Allen of North Carolina; brother, B.J. Plair (Dot) of Beauford, SC; sister, Judy Jays of Michigan; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 until 5:00 pm Sunday, October 2, 2011 and the funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Monday, October 3, 2011 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof with Brother John Lightsey officiating. Interment will follow at the Silver Hill Cemetery.
