Jarrod Scott Schiff

Jarrod Scott Schiff, 23 of Lake Wales, Florida passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016. He was born on February 2, 1992 in Bartow, Florida to Jon Scott Schiff and Rhodesia Gale Fowler Gilbert and he has been a lifelong resident of this area. He loved working for the City of Frostproof in the Water Department. Jarrod loved skateboarding, riding his side by side ( razor), target shooting, learning how to do reloads, and hanging out with his family and friends. Survivors include his father, Jon Scott Schiff of Austin, TX; mother, Rhody Gilbert and step father Kristopher Gilbert of Lake Wales; sisters, Devon Schiff of Winter Haven, Taylor Schiff of Austin, TX, Kalista Gilbert of Lake Wales, Karissa Gilbert of Lake Wales, Chloe Schiff of Austin, TX; brothers, Garon Gilbert of Lake Wales, Colin Schiff of Austin, TX; niece, Rylee Anne Defeo; maternal grandparents, Rodney and Gerry Fowler of Lake Wales; maternal step grandparents, Larry and Marsha Gilbert of Eldorado, MO, Paternal Grandparents, Jon E. Schiff of San Diego, CA; Judy Ruth Cole of Austin, TX. Visitation will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, January 21, 2016 with funeral services being held at 3:00 PM at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Rev. Stephen Bolden officiating. Interment will be held at the Lake Wales Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Tampa General Hospital Burn Center.
