Janis Browning Douglas

Janis Browning Douglas of Lake Wales passed away Sunday, May 29, 2011 at her residence.

She was born April 5, 1950 in Canton, OH to the late Charles & Kathleen (Walter) Plummer; she came to Lake Wales from Canton, OH in 1975. She was in retail sales and a member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd and 'Daughters of the King'. She enjoyed dancing, crafts and having fun.

Janis was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Browning. Survivors include her brother; Rev. Joe Plummer of Winter Haven; sisters, Jill Stanbro of Canton, OH, Julia Weich of Charlotte, NC and Judith Plummer DeVries of Chicago, IL; close friend, Martha Rainey of Lake Wales; and companion, Bill Martin of Lake Wales.

Graveside service will be held 4:00 pm, Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at the Lake Wales Cemetery with Jonie Brawley officiating.
