Janet A. Opdenaker

Janet A. Opdenaker of Lake Wales passed away Friday, February 5, 2016 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

She was born June 27, 1941 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Matthew Peter and Mildred Elizabeth Zanzinger; and she has been a local resident for 17 years coming here from Jupiter, FL. She was retired from Disney Cruise Line and was a member of Saint Matthew Catholic Church in Winter Haven. She was a member of the Schola Choir at Resurrection Church and enjoyed crafts.

Survivors include her husband, Gerald C. “Jerry” Opdenaker; daughter, Karen A. Perez (A.J.) of Lake Wales; son, Jerry Opdenaker of Lake Wales; sister, Jean Spring of Media, PA; brother, James Zanzinger of Middletown, DE; and three grandchildren, Christopher, Jacob and Connor Perez.

Memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Saint Matthews Catholic Church in Winter Haven.
