Janet Rae Carroll, 78

Janet Rae Carroll of Lake Wales passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at AdventHealth Lake Wales.

She was born October 1, 1945 in Wilmington, Delaware to the late James and Peggy Jaquette; she moved to Lake Wales from Maryland in 2005. Janet was a nurse and opened her own healthcare facility for children. She was previously awarded Entrepreneur of the Year for the State of Delaware. Janet was an avid golfer and loved to travel, cook, and go to the beach. She was an amazing wife.

Janet is survived by her husband of 58 years, Charles “Bill” Carroll; son, David Carroll (Jeanne) of Saints Petersburg; daughter, Melissa Cappelli (Dante, II) of West Chester, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Dante Cappelli, III, Matthew Cappelli, David Cappelli, Kimberly Carroll, Kasey Gordon, and Kristen Carroll; and great-grandchildren, Theodore, Olivia, and Bennett.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Following the memorial service an open house will be held at the family home.
