FROSTPROOF -- Mr. James A. Ritchey of Frostproof died of heart failure July 6, 2006, at Haines City Health Care. He was 82.

Born in Pittsburgh on March 29, 1924, he came to Frostproof from Andover, Ohio, in 1997. He was a retired chemical mixer for Mine Safety Applicance Co.. He was a member of Burns Avenue Church of God.

Mr. Ritchey was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Lorraine Ritchey. He is survived by his daughters, Margaret Jen, Berkley, Calif., Rebecca McMaster, Mars, Pa., Kimberly L. Ritchey, Jill E. Ritchey, both of Frostproof; son, James A. Ritchey Jr., Waldorf, Md.; sisters, Cathy Garcia, Sarasota, Frances Smeak, Birmingham, Mich.; seven grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Marion Nelson Funeral Home, Lake Wales.
