JAMES  EDGAR  “JIM”  PEDERSEN,  89

James Edgar “Jim” Pedersen of Lake Wales passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Wedgewood of Winter Haven.

He was born April 11, 1928 in Orlando to the late William & Barbara Pedersen; he was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a retired citrus grower, of the Protestant faith and a veteran of Korea, serving in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Betty Pedersen; daughter, Elisa Ann Pedersen of Lake Wales; and a son, James Eric Pedersen of Key West.

A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Green Horizon Land Trust, Barbara B. Pedersen Preserve (225 East Stuart Avenue, Lake Wales, FL 33853) or The Humane Society of Polk County (3195 Dundee Road, Winter Haven, FL 33884).
