James David Partin

James D. "J David" Partin of Tampa passed away Friday, March 20, 2009 at the James A. Haley Veteran Hospital in Tampa.

He was born July 12, 1943 in Lake Wales to the late Judson & Ila Mae (Holton) Partin; he was born and raised in Lake Wales, left for college, the military and his career before coming back to this area 20 years ago. He was a retired professional entertainer and enjoyed traveling throughout the United States for his career, including Savannah, GA and Alaska. He was of the Protestant faith and a U.S. Army veteran of Viet Nam.

Survivors include his daughters, Shea Hull of Valdosta, GA; son, David Herren of Jacksonville; sisters, Karen Carlton of Norton, VA and Marla Outlaw (husband-David) of Lake Wales; brother, Jack Partin of Ruskin; and five grandchildren.

Graveside services will be scheduled at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
